Asustor nas

anyone have an asustor nas was  thinking about getting one as my first nas instead of building it myself looking at the AS5304T model would use it for storing things like games and some other media files

I haven't used their products but based on the documentation it should be fine for media storage. 

For game storage, I wouldn't suggest running aaa games from it as it will be slower than local storage for the throughput and random io. But it should functionally work if the games are okay with driving over a network share. If not, you would need to setup iscsi which can only be accessed by one machine.
