I need help choosing a laptop. I'm going to start uni in a few months in computer science and just wondering which laptop is best no price range

Previous generation gaming laptops are prime value, unfortunately they were all gobbled up recently. I even got one for my work laptop since I can easily outrun any ultrabook CPU.

They'll also help with code compiling speeds that you'll inevitably be limited by, so anything with a Ryzen 5800HS will help you in the long run. Most places have plenty of outlets where you really shouldn't have to worry about needing +3 hours of battery life anyways.

lmao alright below 5 figures

Can we get a little more context than "I can afford a $10k laptop" and "computer science".

Do you want a 13" inch ultralight or a 17" desktop replacement?   Battery life matter, or are you plugging in all the time?  Touchscreen?  Number pad?  Color?  Windows or Mac?

My brother/sister in Christ, you need to do better. I can send you a link to best buy's website with the $$ filter set to <5000.

Your uni program should have sent you hardware recommendations. What programs do they say you'll be running? What games do you play? What peripherals do you plug into? How big a screen do you want? Are you a Mac or a PC?
