Hi I need help I'm building my first pc with just the gpu left to buy want to be at 1440p high fps  I'm willing to pay for performance just not the 4090 I need suggestions I was thinking the RX 7900XTX but I'm open to suggestions as you will all be more clued up than me, thanks in advance 

 

set up is:

Asus ROG Strix B550 F gaming wifi 2 

Ryzen 7 5800x

2x 16GB DDR4 RAM 3600 CL18

990 Pro 1TB 

RM1000X PSU 

Lian Li 360 Galahad AIO

How is AMD in the UK market? In Denmark the rx 6800/xt and higher have seen some massive price cuts, so you might be able to get a last Gen top tier card for a good price.

While this is true, bottleneck calculator is still very bogus, and will always be. Dont use it.

What resolution are you playing?  7900xtx is too much for 1080p, I would look at 6700xt for 1080p and the 7900xtx if you're at 1440p or 1440p Ultrawide.

Then 7900xt or 7900xtx is what I would do, depending on pricing/budget.   7900xt is under 800, while 7900xtx is over 1000...

Then 5800X will be fine, I use a 5900X with same GPU and res and there's no noticeble bottleneck

My 6900xt is more than enough for 1440p UW, so I would say either.  If you can easily afford the 7900xtx, get that.  If you want to stay under 800, get the 7900xt.

At $800 the 4070Ti is a good choice too

I second this, did a quick check on it and looked at the ARMA 3 stats and its all bs, apparently a 5950x is a bottleneck in that game and from experience i can tell you it aint
