Next step is to test 5800X3D this MBU before next step. Which GPU would you recommend to go along this great CPU on my platform ?

Thanks

if your including the cpu in the budget i would go with this build: https://se.pcpartpicker.com/list/7T33Mb (its a bit over but it'll last)

If that budgets only for the gpu then i would try to fit either a 7900 xt in there or maybe a 6950 xt/4070 ti

Id reconsider that if you dont have any intent to undervolt the shit out of it, itll be power throttled from the poor VRM. 5600X would be the fallback to that by default, itll be a substantial bump going from 2600.

But yeah, depends on the resolution. 6700XT and 6800XT is my common recommendation for 1080 and 1440p with a 5600X. Hard to know for sure on what to recommend at your budget, i dont know what you already own exactly.

I am hoping prices will drop and go for the used market as well....but yes the budget was for 5800X3D + a 12-16GB GPU

i would go with a used 6800 xt or 6700 xt then. Or the aformentioned a770 is a good card too

Thanks I have followed the prices for both 6700XT and 6800XT lately: dont know if you can see this link

https://www.tradera.com/item/341372/590615937/radeon-rx-6700-xt-reference-

The 6800XT went for around $500 on the same site.

The 6700XT went for $334 or 3450SEK.which I think might go down a bit more or whats your predictions ?

My prediction that, if its not immediate, is to wait for 7700XT. Not because itll be a better buy, its because the used market would be more pinched to sell lower later on.

Great. I have time to wait since I havent even built my 1st Am4 build yet. Can we expect the good old 5800X3D to down down a bit as well ?

7700XT is that 7900XT with typo ?

No, i mean 7700XT, as in upcoming midrange of the RDNA3, whatever itll become in identification. As of now its still rumors, hence why i say if youre not buying this in like immediate months, you should wait.

Just found an Sapphire NITRO+ Radeon RX 6700 XT 12  at 3800 SEK aka $367....thats sounds good now but I will wait and test my 'good old' MSI GAMING X Radeon RX 580 8 GB first 🙂

I dont even know what games I will play/like. I am an old paps that just built my first PC to my daughter.....this will be my new interest 🙂
