Hello! I’m building my first gaming PC. I’ve picked these parts myself and I’d like to get some expert opinion on my current build. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Budget (including currency): 12,500 PLN (~3,000 USD)

Country: Poland

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly AAA titles like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Apex Legends, Baldur's Gate III, etc. I also program in my spare time, so I’d like to take that into account as well (if it makes any difference).

Other details:

CPU: Intel Core i7-13700KF 3.4 GHz 16-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 280 72.8 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: MSI MAG Z690 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX LGA1700 Motherboard
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory
GPU: ASRock Radeon RX 7900 XT 20GB Radeon RX 7900 XT 20 GB Video Card
Case: Lian Li Lancool II Mesh C Performance ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: SeaSonic PRIME 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
Storage: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive

I’m planning to use three monitors (2xDisplayPort, 1xHDMI). I’ve got all the other peripherals covered.

hmm i personally would not go for F chip. i just do not get the idea of losing integrated Intel graphic and use GPU alll the time. and some people here do recommend the non f chip to me back then.

surely one SSD is enough. would prefer to add seperate drives between system and application. probably another SSD or 4TB HDD for the files. WD BLUE perhaps.

  Spec: Macbook Air 2017

ProcessorPU: ii5 (I5-5350U |

| RAM: 8GB LPDDR3 |

| Storage: 128GB SSD

 | GPU: Intel HD 6000 |

| Audio: JBL 450BT Wireless Headset |

I'd say go for a z790 motherboard if its not too much more. Better PCIe configuration and designed for Intel 13th gen, otherwise if its more than like $30 USD equivalent to upgrade in your region, I'd skip it.

970 EVO is a PCIe 3.0 drive I believe, so spending a little bit more on a PCIe 4.0 is sort of in the same scenario as the z790 motherboard. A little bit more will yield better 'future-proofing' but might not be worth it past +$20 USD for this part.

Builder/Enthusiast/Overclocker since 2012 with a focus on SFF/ITX since 2014.

I see. I've found the K version of this CPU and it's only $30 more than the KF version. Do you think it's worth the investment? What are the advantages of having a CPU with an intergated GPU?

I have an old HDD that I could use as an additional drive for data storage. Is it still common/worth it to keep the system on a separate drive?

I've found two Z790 motherboards: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/9B2WGX/msi-mag-z790-tomahawk-wifi-atx-lga1700-motherboard-mag-z790-tomahawk-wifi and https://pcpartpicker.com/product/k7mmP6/msi-pro-z790-p-wifi-atx-lga1700-motherboard-pro-z790-p-wifi. Which one would you recommend? Or maybe there are some better alternatives that I'm not aware of?

My mistake, I've linked the wrong part. Here is the correct one (with PCIe 4.0): https://pcpartpicker.com/product/fVC48d/samsung-980-pro-heatsink-2-tb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-mz-v8p2t0cw I believe it's the one you suggested.

-----------

What do you think of the build as a whole? I was also considering RTX 4070 Ti for the GPU, but I've read the RX 7900 XT achieves more FPS in most current AAA titles. Do you have any experience with these cards?
