So a friend of mine posted the video to this campaign on a discord I am in and thought it was cool (she backs stuff from time to time, but not this) and I watched the video and something feels off about this, like the jargon and promises seem too good to be true. I did a little more digging and this almost looks like a scam. Now it has raised an insane amount from backers ($3.5 million at the time of writing this) but does this seem off to anyone else? and the price of the keyboard seems off too. thanks anyone that can shine any light on this either way, I may be too jaded from getting burned by other crowdfunded stuff to see the obvious.

It's Kickstarter, you can promise whatever you want and deliver nothing. That's the risk with backing anything, it usually is a gamble.

Yeah I know, it would be awseome if this is an actual real product (even though it is more than a bit pricey). Just some of the claims they made dont seem right, if you know what I mean. Thats why I reached out here.

What's it you feel 'off' about this? The tech seems sound and possible, the price seems somewhat reasonable considered all the features and novelty. At the same time this could be a product with quite some teething problems. I'm thinking litte parts of dirt jamming the keys, loosing magnetisation or gunky (is this the word?) looking keys due to the clear plastic.

Also they're a bit too much "everything is possible, we'll release a driver with support for x Applications at launch" for my old pessimistic taste.

That all being said, I'm still thinking to back it since it looks dope and I wanted something like this since the Optimus Maximus Keyboard!
