I'm wondering if this is a warning sign. I just finished my new build (pic post incoming), and everything worked great when i was on base peripherals (fans, memory RGB, keyboard, mouse). But since I added the secondary peripherals (M700 mouse pad, ST100 stand, HS80 headset), some of them just... switch to solid Red and nothing will change it short of quitting Icue and restarting it. This never happened on my old system, and I'm wondering if the system is trying to tell me something. But there's no warnings in the Icue software itself, no firmware update notices, nothing.

The peripherals that switch to solid red:

  • K70 Low Profile Keyboard

  • ST100 headphone stand

  • Vengeance RGB RAM

  • M700 Mouse pad

The Scimitar mouse, HS80 headset, H100i AOI, and AF120 case fans respond to the profile and lighting changes normally.

RGB is just a pain as too often mixing different brands simply dont play nice.

it all started with the RGB mania a while back where they had different connector different software etc to try and hook people into their own corner.

pick n mix with different rgb is just a headache. you could try a 3rd party apps as a couple are capable of sorting it out but for the life of me I cannot remember the names.

Linus might have done a vreview on it but i am 99.9% sure Jay did post a video about one of them.
