I am making custom cables for my SFF build. I am using the Super Flower Leadex V Gold 130 1000w PSU. I've taken a pinout of the ports.

I am concerned specifically about the 24-pin cable. The PSU converts a 12-pin and a 15-pin output port into the standard 24-pin. Their included cable crosses over every which way such that the cable is a criss-cross jumbled mess, which will look bad and I don't like it. Additionally, we're going from 27 pins to 23 (20 pin is empty), so there's some splicing involved.

My questions:

  1. As long as I keep voltages the same and don't double up where it wasn't already doubled up, can I freely swap pin locations?
e.g. wire the pin 3 com to a different com pin on the psu
  2. As long as I keep voltages the same in the splices, am I free to pick whatever source pins go into the splice?
    e.g wire the 6 pin to a different 2 5v source pins
  3. One pin - the 11 pin - takes its source voltage from 2 spliced pins, one from the 12-pin and one from the 15-pin output on the psu side. Am I safe to change this so it doesn't combine the two source outputs?

I am new to this, and I don't know electrical very well. I haven't opened my psu and I don't intend to. My main concern is whether swapping pins around will put stress on the PSU that it is not intended to take.

1) and 2) shouldn't be a problem. COM = Common Ground.

3) Is probably the tricky one. Pin 11 is one of the +12V pins. They have 2x wires are combined to one +12v pin, to supply enough current.

If you hook up just one wire instead of two, you might encounter issues when the motherboard / system draws more power than one wire can handle.

I don't mean to combine to just one source. I mean to change the two sources to both be from either the 12-pin or 15-pin output. Specifically, the 11-pin on the 24-pin side is sourced from the 9-pin on the 15-pin output and the 12-pin on the 12-pin output. I want to change this to be sourced from the 8- and 12-pins on the 12-pin output, cutting the 15-pin source out entirely. I've attached an image to better demonstrate what I'm trying to say.

Also, thanks for the help.
