I found a nice, working gpu water cooler if like to get for my gpu, however I do not know much besides the fact I need like a plate cover for my gpu to be able to use it. I have an amd Radeon rx 580 8gb otc black edition. Can anyone with experience help me find a cover plate for it if there’s any? I’m not a huge spender tho so I don’t mind the cheaper options as long as it won’t break my gpu

Hang on... are you trying to watercool a RX 580? I very much advise against that. The performance unlift will be imperceptable.

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.

I highly doubt it’s dirty since it’s a refurbished product, but it may need more thermal paste. I haven’t checked. The the temps usually lift up whenever I use for example: fortnite, they go around 73-82 with full fan power. even if my frames don’t drop. I usually get 70-80 fps with the settings I have for my preference, they aren’t over kill though, heavy stuff is disabled and other setting are usually on med to med high ish. I might check the paste later today once I’m back from school.

What did you get ? I mean a GPU watercooling is a standard rad, tubing, and then a waterblock  and a pump somewhere

Without a block it's nothing else than a bunch of watercooling parts ... and buying  ablock for a RX580 is a really bad idea (if ever they exist)

How come it’s a bad idea?

The waterblock and pump will cost you more than a better GPU ...

No, I found a reseller who I am good friends with, he has a working one that comes with everything, all I need is the plate to actually be able to assemble it if I’m correct.

Still I didn't get what "plate" you're talking about, that's why I asked what did (or will) you get exactly ...

And yes I know it doesn’t seem to have fans for it, I’ve bought some that were originally gonna go on my case before I found this. My case fan space is two 120mm vents on top

So it's a pump block and a rad .

Rad design is ... original 😛 , idk where you can install it without sawing off the "appendages" on the sides 😄

So indeed you need a RX580 plate, there are some on Aliexpress but it's $100+...that's more than the card value on Ebay...

True that, is there a specific model I should be looking for?

It looks like an HG10, if my research serves me correctly. Those have their own blower style cold plate designed to cool its VRMs, if youre using this youre going to need that too and they havent made a cold plate for it since R9 290x.

It's aliexpress so be careful, and it'll be only some copies of old past designs, no brand make this anymore afaik (if ever they did)

IMO you'd better off using the money in a new GPU, a RX6600 is near double RX580 perf for $220...

I guess youre bad at inferring information. There's no cold plate for this thing, youre going to have to machine it yourself, using an h100i mounting. But yeah, unless if you have your own neighbor with a CNC like Linus did back in his old house, it wont be worthwhile unless youre doing it for the novelty in which case knock yourself out.
