CPU: 3600x to 5700x

Or,

RAM= 16 GB (2400mhz) to 32 GB (3200mhz)

Which one should I upgrade first for 1080p gaming?

If you can fit it in try and get the 5800x3d. Really good cpu for 300 bucks

but if you can’t get that now I would go with the ram

No i would just go with the 5700X if OP cant afford that 5800X3D off the bat. 32GB doesnt scale yet for games.

Mostly agree. Unless better multitasking is the goal, then upgrading to a Zen 3 5700x or 5800x3d would generally be a far better choice for gaming.

However, I would note that your RAM is kind of slow for Ryzen at 2400 MHz. Is it one stick? If you aren't running dual-channel RAM you will be strongly bottlenecking whatever CPU you have in gaming, and you would see a noticeable improvement if you spend $70-$110 on a nice 32gb CL16 3200 MHz kit from a single stick of 2400 MHz ddr4. If you have 2 sticks already, then you will see an improvement, just not as dramatic

From 3600x to 5700x, would it be a noticeable improvement in respect of gaming?
