Validation troubles.

Go to solution Solved by deadlou666,

Boot means no OS detected (guessing u haven't installed Windows yet) so there's nowt wrong with that and vga means no display which the 5800x3d doesn't have an igpu so you'll need a dedicated gpu. Once you've got a gpu and installed Windows it'll be fine 馃檪. Welcome to the forums!!聽

Greetings lovely people of the forums.

I have been building a PC, since my 6yr old laptop has begun dying, over the last few months and don't have all the parts yet. However I wanted to validate the parts I have are currently working.

The current hardware I have are:
Ryzen 5800X3D
NZXT N7 B550
Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600mt/s
Sabrent Rocket 4 2TB M.2 SSD
Deepcool AK620
Thermaltake Toughpower TF1 80+ Titanium

All the parts are put together and inside a PC case and wired up correctly so I turned it on to check if it all works and the motherboard shows red lights for both VGA (I expect this is from a lack of video card) and Boot... Does this mean that my SSD is defective or damaged? I don't have a way to plug it into a display to see what it says on a screen, unless there is a way to use my laptop display.

Do forgive me for being paranoid, and thank you for the quick reply!

Still... Is there some way I can use my laptop as a video output so I can see things in bios? my video card is arriving between the 17th and 19th of April and I don't have a standalone monitor yet until I get paid at the end of the month.

I'm afraid not sorry. You'll need the card for any graphical rendering Inc bios or Windows install etc. What did u need bios for? just checking out the new parts馃槄?聽

Ah okay thank you.

And yes I'd like to see if everything is detected and so I can look at my parts with glee.
