Booting Issue

I'm sure others have ran into this issue. I am just unable to pinpoint where the problem lies.

My Specs:

 

Strix Z590-A Gaming Wifi

MSI Gaming X 3060ti

 

For some reason when booting using display port, my system will show no display at all until I reach Windows. It completely bypasses the post/bios splash-screen and the VGA light remains on on the motherboard. Everything functions properly when in Windows and I have absolutely no issues playing games. However, all of this is avoided when using HDMI. I have found that when I enable CSM in the Bios (when I'm able to boot into it) I have no issues on display port. The GPU had no issues at all in another system so I know the GPU should be fine.

 

I have flashed the latest BIOS on the MB, and checked that my GPU has the latest display port firmware. Neither have worked. I figured I'd turn to you all to see if I can find a fix!

Have you tried a different display port cable?

 

I had a similar problem (but with HDMI) and replacing the cable fixed it.

I did try a few different cables with the same result unfortunately

Do you have the GPU going through a riser cable? Have you tried setting the PCIe mode to 4.0?

I have it directly to the mb, is that a setting in the BIOS?

Yeah, it’s in the advanced settings under the PCIe settings

That still didn't work sadly. I'm still getting the occasional bootup where I have no display until windows and the VGA light remains illuminated
