Hi guys,
My problem is that I have a GeForce Gigabyte RTX 2070 WINDFORCE 2X in a Zalman S2 case, with the one fan included with the case, and 2 Arctic P12 fans and the GPU can still go to 80°+. The 2 artic fans are in the front, and the case fan is in the back. They are set to 100% and the GPU is still thermal throttling. I've checked, and the GPU is not that dirty, nothing is caked on, just light dust. I have to set the fans 90+% to even keep it under 80°, but after a longer gaming session, it will go above that. My room is at an average temperature, like 20-22°. The other parts are Ryzen 7 2700 cooled by a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition. It doesn't get really hot, in the 50s. While the GPU's core clock doesn't drop that much, from 1850 to 1790, and in theory, the advertised core clock is 1620, so it is still above it. I just want it to remain at a reasonable temperature, so I can use it as long as it is useful. If needed, I can attach pictures.

Where did the graphics card come from?

I bought it new around 2019, and while I remember it being in the 70s when I got it first, I didn't do much, cuz I thought that's normal for an aircooled one, but I suspect it was high 70s, and now it gest's to 80 even under something like BF4 after 10 minutes of playing

does it have any warranty left on it?  Could be the thermal material has degraded you may find Gigabyte will take it back and 'service' it for you.  Get in touch with their customer care team and ask some questions after explaining your situation

With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!
