Distorted sound while gaming only

Hi I have a brand new PC that I built.  Had no issues with it the first weekend. However when gaming at pretty high GPU loads 95%+.

I was seeing a little frame drop but more concerning the game sounded like someone pulled the needle from a record or plugging an audio cable.  Would do it about once a minute but fairly random.  Two different games (Spider-Man Remastered and D2R) more in rendered cinematic, D2R was fine in game.

Is this an indication of PSU overload?  No restarts yet.  Other possible causes?

Update, PC was exhibiting these same issues.  Froze for a minute before turning into a Clock watchdog Timeout Bluescreen.

Now the Bluetooth function on my M.2 WiFi/Bluetooth card doesn’t work.  WiFi remains fine.  Will need to use a bit longer to tell if the issue is still ongoing or if the Bluetooth chip was faulty causing seemingly unrelated issues
