Ok, I watched

Then I went to an online store and found a SAS drive selling for 25% less than a SATA, same model and size. What gives?

I looked up another capacity and same deal, SAS 15% cheaper than SATA.

Less demand I'd imagine, as the server market moves more to SSDs.

Most people don't want them simply due to needing a SAS HBA card. Also, in real world, they really are not that much faster if at all.
