Hey, lets appreciate that OP get 2/7 decisions right. At that GPU price on used, cross shop with RX 5700XT, RTX 2070 Super, and GTX 1080Ti... Or you can go with an AM4 based build with sturdy motherboard, and then upgrade to a 5800X3D with a dual tower cooler like AK620 later.

Not really, that's parrot talk.  Look closer, there are pretty big air vents on the sides of the front, and the fans are positioned to draw from those pretty well.  For a solid front panel, it should actually be able to bring a good amount of air in.  It's not 'blocked' and it certainly doesn't have 'no airflow'.  There's more than one way to cool a system.

Paan AK400 with a 13600k when the PA120 is the same price is also suboptimal (especially for someone with 20,000 posts).

No it's not.  The other TT Smart units are crap, but the BM2 is actually a new platform that isn;t super great, but it's not bad either.  It's better than a lot of the old toughpower units.  The PSU you picked is actually worse, by a decent margin.

Sure, but take a look at how cheap the 12600k is right now.  If anything, I'd recommend just getting that over a 13600k for a CAD parts list.  The B660 DS3H AX is only $99, so with a 12600 for $190, you'd be gettting your CPU and MoBo for less than the CPU alone.

I would try something like this:

  • The case is fine, but it only comes with one fan.  I'd move the included fan to the exhaust and put these two on the intake.  They're radiator fans, but when airflow is moving past an obstacle (like side vents instead of an open front, they tend to do the job well.  With those installed on the front, you wil still get plenty of air in for a 12600k and a 6600xt.
  • The 12600k is pretty close to the 13600k for CAD, but it's really cheap right now, and will work with a b660 board out of the box.
  • The PSU you picked is out of stock, this one is about the same quality and is a bit more efficient.
  • This cooler will keep the 12600k running about as fast as it can, even under heavy laods.
  • I'd get 32GB of RAM
  • With what you saved, you can get a bigger SSD with a DRAM cache.

You're overdoing it on the cpu. Go for a non-K cpu, a better motherboard, and more RAM. You'll also want a MUCH better psu option.

In case you're wondering why we left Windows out, it's because you can get a key for around $20-30, and a 32gb usb flash drive for around $8.

The 12600k is $10 more for all those e-cores and a better turbo boost.  Mobo is probably also overkill when it seems like the DS3H had everythink OP needed.  $80 for a CX 650 is also a bit much, especially with a 6600xt.
