Hey guys,

I'm wanting some advice please.

I'm running a 9700k in a none overclockable board and had a 16gb set of Dominator DDR4 LPX C16 rated at 2666 which ran as advertised using XMP, I recently added another 16gb of Dominator DDR4 LPX C16 but rated at 3200 as it was all I could source.

The RAM runs absolutely fine at stock but if I try and activate XMP at 2666 it just refuses to post.

I've always been under the understanding that if you got 2 different speeds of RAM they just ran at slowest speed or is that not the case when using XMP.

It's not a major drama as how I see it 32GB at stock is still far superior to 16GB with a slight clock to 2666 but just wondered if I'm doing something wrong or if there's an easy fix I'm missing.

Thanks
