OnePlus One Release Date?

Hey guys, so I have to replace my phone soon as it's really starting to die, a lot of my calling doesn't work since the microphone keeps going dead than coming back to life for a short period. So right now i currently have an iPhone 4, my original plan was to upgrade to the iPhone 5S as I'm switching to my own phone bill and going under TMobile. The reasoning behind getting the iPhone 5S will be hidden here:

The first smartphone I was even given was an iPhone 3GS since our cell carrier gave them to you for free when you sign up for a contract, later on I got my iPhone 4 which was a hand-me-down from my older brother who upgraded to the 5 and gave me his phone. I realize a lot of people say Andrioid is better but not for me, reason being. Apple products are created for stupid people. Now I'm a very techy guy but I couldn't care less about my phones capabilities. I am more concerned with simplicity and the iPhone does just that. All I ever use it for is texting and calling, also banking occasionally. I have no purpose for a device with infinite capabilities and applications because I will never use them. So that is why I chose to upgrade to the iPhone 5S.

So the reason I want a OnePlus One is because of the great price to performance of the device. The iPhone 5S is about $599 I believe I haven't checked lately and the One is $300. That's a great deal especially with it's specs. I'll have to get over the awkward hump of learning Android however. So what I want to know is how soon will it be released? I need to get a new phone soon as phone calls are very important for me to take and make so I can't have this issue persist. I've been mainly borrowing either my dad's or brothers phone to take calls. It says Q2 which I don't get, seeing as there are 12 months to a year why aren't the business quarters just the year divided into 3 month intervals? Is that a globalization thing, to have a sort of sync with other countries? Obviously America =/= The World so I'm genuinely curious. Anyways, babble over.

Ah that sucks :\ I guess I'll just wait, I went to T-Mobile to get info on starting a plan and they said I would have to pay $410 right off the bat for an iPhone 5S so uh, no.
