Mouse Size Conversion Kit?

Go to solution Solved by jaslion,

Just buy a new mouse and use its adapter for it?

This seems like a super niche usecase and waaay too complex solution (and pricey) for what can be a simply 25$ new mouse buy thingy

Hi all!

My work got everyone in the office these new Logitech silent wireless combo MK295 kits. I like the keyboard but the mouse is so small and it seems like this combo kit doesn't come with Logitech's nice universal dongle - the dongle only works with this combo. So, I can't get a larger mouse that will work with the keyboard. 😕

I've tried looking online to see if anyone has come up with some kind of mouse size adapter - something that can make a small mouse bigger. Perhaps the mouse can clip / snap / magnetically stick onto the adapter to make the mouse bigger and fit better in the hand. I've seen some people in the modding community doing something similar with their own 3D printers. Unfortunately, I don't own one and people that take 3D print requests require one to design their own in a 3D printer software (or CAD). I'm no designer (or at least not yet, I haven't taken the time to purchase a 3D printer and learn yet), and I don't have something that can scan the mouse and get dimensions. These modders seem to enjoy making entire mice shells - I'm not looking to disassemble my small mouse though, take out the control board, and install it in the new shell and hope it works.

So, I'm posting here to see if anyone else has ever wondered this and/or searched for this before. Or if anyone actually knows of someone / some service who does this kinda thing I'd greatly appreciate it!

EDIT: This is the closest thing I could find to what I'm describing, but only for Apple's magic mouse so far: https://www.amazon.com/Mello-Silicone-Cushion-Compatible-Tuxedo/dp/B08R99FPPV/ref=sr_1_6?crid=1FHJFSQ04YDPT&keywords=apple+magic+mouse+grip&qid=1679607866&sprefix=apple+magic+mouse+grip%2Caps%2C125&sr=8-6

I knooowww but now you have two USB dongles taking up the precious USB ports on the computer. And the e-waste of the small mouse - it'll just be thrown away.

(I know I'm being cheap and I could do this... but that'd be too easy!)

but it'll cost you way more time effort and money to adapt the tiny mouse to a big shell.

legit if you want to shell swap without a printer your best luck is still buying another mouse and swapping the internals....
hopefully the buttons line up with the switches... the scroll wheel is probably going to be jank no matter what.
