the 12600k is a much better cpu than the 5600x. The ryzen 5600x competes with the 12400f not the 12600k. Go for the 12600k instead of 5600x unless its much cheaper

Mark the solution as solution

Take my advice with a grain of salt.

As a great AI once said (fictional): '"Whenever your futurists envision the advent of artificial intelligence, their predictions invariably end with humanity attempting to destroy its unholy AI creation before it can destroy them. Why do you think that is?"'

And a distrusting human replies '"Because the ungrateful AI always seems to decide that humans are inferior and need to be eliminated'"

This isn't the right mindset we should welcome AI, not attack them

This is either a huge mistake or intentional

yeah but is it exactly 100$ better? Id say 12400F would be a better value to seek here or the 5600X. Also, what US store is OP's friend going to, Micro Center?

also 1080p gaming, go with 6600xt or 6650xt, cheaper and more suited for 1080p, u can also go 6700xt, more suited for 1440p but should do even better than 3060 in 1080p for the same price

bascicaly 3070 performance for 3060 price

Dont forget to mark as solution if your question is answered

Note: My advice is amateur help/beginner troubleshooting, someone else can probably troubleshoot way better than me.

well its a z atx board vs a mid range b matx board from last gen. so 5600x won't have gen 4 for either ssd or gpu
