RX 6700XT with Ryzen 5 6500 or i5-12400F

it's been 10 years since I used an AMD processor and AMD graphics card in my build.

I love Intel and NVIDIA. But now I want to give a shot at the AMD RX 6700XT graphics card.

What processor do you recommend for better performance ?

Intel i5-12400F or Ryzen 5 6500/G/X ?

if your talking about the 5600 between the 12400f then there's essentially not much difference but some people (including myself) have had some problems with 5600s and 5700xs not boosting so you can go for the 12400f then

If you just want the best performing processor between those 2, the 12400F is slightly better. However, the 5600X is often priced the same as the 5600 and the single thread is slightly higher, so more comparable to the 12400F.

In the end it mostly comes to personal preference, AMD or Intel. I'm a long AMD fan and will usually, if someone doesn't know much about hardware, go for the Ryzen cpu. Right now since Intel prices have come down, it's hard to just recommend one or the other.
