sorry for the late response, i fixed the problem by switching over to DP 1.2 and not 1.4 which i find strange because its the monitors own cable.

Maybe see if there's a newer firmware available for your monitor

i installed that first when i tried to fix screen being black for a few seconds when switching applications(fullscreen like minecraft to chrome). the settings where normal then, no HDR of some sort and it looks like it just switches to HDR or to a different source.
