Hi I have a Dell Precision T3620.

so i am looking at changing the mother board but keeping the CPU. (Xeon 1270 v5) as i cant meet my power req for my gpu. I have bought a new 500w PCU but it has 24 pin where as my current motherboard has 8 pin.

I can get 24 pin to 8 pin, but this leaves me short of a 4 pin to power my motherboard from my PCU.

Im i right in thinking any Socket 1151 motherboard will work?

I need;

- DDR4 (2 x 16gb 2RX8 PC4-2400)

- PCIE x16 ( I have a RTX 1070)

- Xeon 1270 compatible

- I have 3 Hard drives but i can reduce this if needed

Does it matter if i use a mATX motherboard with my large GPU as long as it fits in the case?

Like i say, I have bought a new PCU but the power pin is 24 and my current mother board is only 8 pin. So i need a new motherboard, can i upgrade?

Do you have any suggestions.

Thank you guys.
