What are the specs of the Virtualbox you created?  If you have a quad core CPU and 16gb of RAM and setup Mint to use 16gb & 4 cores of the HOST computer that might be the reason your computer freezes.

What OS does the Host computer have?  Windows or Linux Mint XFCE.  What OS are you trying to boot in Virtualbox?

It could be a driver issue on your host. Make sure you install the proprietary Intel video drivers, or whatever it is that Intel uses.

Edit: I know Nvidia and AMD have video driver issues with anything important without proprietary drivers, but with integrated graphics it's hard to say, and I haven't used Intel on Linux in a long time, especially without disabled integrated graphics.

Also, I read that it's a dual processor system. You should make sure your main hyper threading processor is the one the Optiplex is using on Linux Mint. For that you'd have to study the configuration settings deeper.

Edit 2: Actually I think I misread the search engine. It has multiple CPU configuration options for sale, not a dual processor configuration.

Also, you could always try Gnome Boxes, which uses QEMU instead of a JVM. It's also higher performance than virtual box. And it's completely free and libre software.

Looks like you're trying to create a Windows 10 virtual machine.  Def tick the box to Enable 3D Acceleration.  Won't hurt to turn that on.  Send more screen shots of your settings from the "General" and "System" menus.  Let's see what settings you have.

i did switched from linux mint xfce edition to Linux Mint Debian edition. I'm going to see if stable Debian edition doesn't freeze my computer on me, so far, stable Debian edtion doesn't freeze my computer on me.

Not sure what that error means.  Google it and find out.  In the meantime, I would delete this Mint VM and start fresh in Virtualbox.
