Wow, I'm really impressed by the team's tenacity to jump into the premium/luxury lightweight jacket market with the release of the 3D Down Jacket.

While all of their other jacket/hoody apparel items are definitely expensive (and worth the price IMO), I think they're gonna have their work cut out for them competing in the same price range as the likes of Patagonia and Arc'teryx.

Any day 1 buyers here?

$250 is pretty reasonable for a good jacket in this sector. Arc charges upwards of $250 for their insulated non-down jackets.

Seems they also haven't gone down the sustainability route at all which is interesting, seeing as Linus mentioned the ethics of using leather for the holster last week. If they aren't touting that the down is RDS certified, then I can only assume the down in these could come from some nasty places and they may not even know themselves. Personally wouldn't feel comfortable wearing a jacket with down that may have been live plucked.

Also very curious to see how the seam tape holds up, and whether or not they warranty seam failures.

As someone that has bought expensive jackets from both those companies, if I didn't wear my R1 hoody on a regular basis and needed a new jacket, LTT would be on a short list as well as Outlier for well made products with minimal/stealth branding.

I've purchased like 5 jackets from Arcteryx in the past few months (mostly second-hand because EXPENSIVE), so I'm a little bummed that I can't justify grabbing myself LTT's offering purely out of curiosity. I just can't imagine there's that much overlap between LTT fans and someone looking at technical, ultralight outerwear.

At least the screwdriver and backpack have good overlap for fans who have too much tech gear or DIY people in general.

Yeah, from the way they described the additive process, this doesn't seem sustainable at all. But it's probably prohibitively expensive aiming for sustainable in this market, unless you already a strong footprints with large sales numbers. Imagine how much this would cost if it was eco-friendly.

Are there any jackets on the market that use this construction method? It sounds cool as hell.

I would hope seam tape is covered under their 'trust me bro' warranty, but I can imagine there's a lot of gray error where they could blame the customer for improper washing and unnecessary rough handling.

I'm considering buying it, if it is a quality jacket I don't care that it costs that much, my other winter jackets cost more and are heavier so I could use something lightweight. My only concern is I fit into their lanky boi catagory and I don't know if I like the fit that much in the model pictures on the site.

I barely fit in XL for Arcteryx and Fjallraven jackets, and I wear XL in a lot T-shirts and hoodies (Old Navy, Target, American Apparel, etc.)

I own their RGB Hoodie and Swacket in size L and they fit perfectly. Either their sizing is really janky, or they're designed to be very baggy fits.

Definitely agree with the fits in the pictures. I don't even understand why both Linus and Dennis ar wearing Medium. One of them should be wearing Small so that we can see how fitted it looks on a skinny/thin person.
