Hello. LTT .i really need your input on this. So I'm planning to buy a graphics Card . Work my budget range. And i have two options AMD RX 6400 and Nvidia 1050 ti

So given two specs between the two namely 4 GB DDR6 with  128 Memory Bus  and 4GB DDR5 with 64 Memory Bus for  AMD and Nvdia card respectively. On paper RX 6400 is much better . But what do you guys think?

The RX 6400 suffers from low PCIe bandwidth due to the PCIe x4 instead of x16 interface. If you aren't using a CPU and motherboard that are PCIe 4.0 enabled (such as Ryzen 5 3600 and B550 motherboard), I strongly recommend against the 6400, in favor of the 1050 TI

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?

On that lower budget price range I'd get an Intel A380 , it's as fast, has more VRAM and better bandwidth

3050 is $270+, super overpriced, at that price get a 6600XT which is ... 50% faster !!

then a 1650

Yeah for a price of a used RX5700 and GTX 1080 which would neck snap the 1650 and take its head for a roadtrip. Its hard to find good used GPU at 120 bucks ish other than 1070Ti or the many polarish of RX 580s, +1 on @PDifolco idea of an A380.

A380 is also PCIE 4.0 correct?

Backwards compatibility, it being 4.0 doesnt matter. 3.0 x16 is plenty of bandwith for it. But yes it is a pcie 4.0 device.

Depending where you live, you can find a used 1080 Ti for about $250 or less and it would run circles around all the GPU's listed here.  For example, if you live in the Northern Virginia, USA region, used 1080 Ti's are selling on average for $200 after haggling since a friend of mine just recently upgraded that way.  You would however need a decent PSU for any 1080 Ti if you decide to buy one.

Yes.i get that. But coming back to the first question just how big is the gap between 64 bit and 128 bit memory bus cards

The memory bus width isn't an important spec in a vacuum - which is to say, you can use it to compare between cards of the same architecture to guess at potential performance, but otherwise, it's just a number.

If you are willing to get a used card, and you aren't limited by your PSU, the RX 570 or RX 580 are better than the 1050 or 6400 while typically costing much less. In the US, you can occasionally find used RX 570 cards for just $50. I'm not sure what the pricing is like in your region.
