Need internet to login

Did you just download the drivers or actually installed them?

Make sure that you installed the network drivers as well.

Also, just in case, drivers and BIOS are different.

As you can see from the photos I need to connect to the internet to access the Microsoft account page and set the pin, but not sure how to get the eithernet working. I have tried downloading the latest drivers for my motherboard but didn't change anything. My motherboard doesn't have wifi. Eithernet cable works, what else should I try? This is my first time building so sorry if it was something simple haha.

 

My spec are

Msi pro Z690-A DDR4

i5 13400f

6700 xt

G-skill DDR4 3600

  1. Check whether your machine has an IP assigned (your router uses DHCP?)
  2. Check whether a DNS server is configured

If your machine is physically connected to the network but you can't use the internet you're either missing an IP or don't have DNS configured.

 

If you can ping the IP of your router, then DNS is the most likely issue.
