prebuilt or not?

I have a pc build that i'm fairly proud of (being my first time)https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JFRYxs and I saw a prebuilt pc that has basically the same parts (skytech shiva II). should I buy the pre-built?

Depends on if you take enjoyment of building your own PC.

If not, then buy the pre-built.

If so, build your own.

Put it this way:

With a prebuilt, you get what they give you, which usually includes custom-designed parts to discourage you from buying from anyone else if you want to upgrade it; and probably some parts that are cheap, no-name parts that may/may not be good. They also charge you extra because, after all, they built it. You may have problems and, depending on which company you buy from, the support may/may not be good. Sometimes even very expensive pre-builts are junk.

If you build it yourself, you know exactly what you're getting. You get the experience of building it, which includes any challenges there may be, and then you'd need to contact one or more of the manufacturers to find a solution and, just like with pre-builts, support varies.

 

Personally, I much prefer building my own, even with the headaches that sometimes pop up.
