Looking for case

Go to solution Solved by brob,

If you liked the Define R6, did you look at the Meshify 2? There are several models.

I'm looking for a small tower case that has a lot of free space in the front but I don't want the case to be "tall" vertically.

So something like Corsair 5000D Airflow, but quite a lot smaller... but 4000D didn't have the necessary frontal space.

Also mesh front panel is necessary and decent cable management cutouts, that are not too close to the front panel. I prefer them to be closer to the motherboard.

Just asking if anyone knows a case akin to what I tried to describe, I know it's a bit specific thus can be hard to find, I've been browsing so many cases but the only ones I seem to find don't have mesh front panels.

Cases I liked but lacked mesh front:

Fractal Design Define R6

Magnium Gear Neo Mini V2

I hope this gives some idea of what I'm looking for.

Fractal Design North also had too little space in the front for my needs.

I had kinda the same requirements (not too tall, mesh front, plenty of build and cable management space) and am very happy with my Meshify 2. It's about the same dimensions as the Define R6 so it should suit your needs.

The only downside I found so far is that large PSUs can conflict with bottom fans. Im my case, the bequiet! Dark Power 12 Pro 1200W unit just barely fits alongside two NF-A14s, to the point that I used longer screws and washers to get the PSU mounted slightly farther back, so the cables aren't kinked at a 90° angle by the fan's frame. But again, that's a rather long PSU to begin with and two 140 mm fans might be a bit overkill as well, so that issue really comes down to my own stupidity 😄

I think I had looked at some Meshify 2 models, namely the Nano, but it was too small.

But apparently now that I check again, I notice I had completely overlooked Meshify S2 which seems like exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!
