Update the BIOS. Download chipset drivers, graphics drivers and wifi / bluetooth drivers if you have a supported board. Enable EXPO or XMP ram profile in the BIOS.  Run some Cinebench stress test to check CPU temperatures and that everything is ok. Maybe download your motherboard supported program to adjust fan profiles on your case fans if they are controllable, same for CPU cooler if you are using an AIO or aftermarket cooler.   Download games and play.

Hello fellow Tibby o3o

Install your GPU and motherboard drivers, both of which com from the manufacturer website not Windows update.
Check for a windows update.
What settings you need to change for setup will depend on your components.
Install the programs you need.

After you have done the above create a restore point on your system.

If you are new to PC's then google/youtube how to use Event viewer to better understand how to resolve issues.
