Hello everyone,
I just received two 30cm strips of White Alchemy LEDs. Now I had some red ones in my old build, and I never really liked how bright they were. It was like sunrise in my PC
I was told that the LEDs could easily be adjusted with a fan controller, so I got a Lamptron FC5 V2.
Unfortunately, the Alchemy come with a rather strange 2 pin power plug to connect to a molex.
How could I still use the controller for the LEDs? Are there any special cables I need to buy? Do I need to get entirely different LEDs?

Thank you in advance!

I know that there are 4-pin molex to 3/4-pin fan adaptors, but I don't think there any any the other way around, allowing you to adapt a fan headers to a 4-pin molex. If you are comfortable with soldering and have some fan connectors and molex plugs around you could certainly make this cable yourself. Equally if you're confident in your ability you could skip the molex completely and solder a fan header onto the LED strip wires.

Edit: If you know which resistors you would need to drop the voltage you could solder the resistors in line in the molex to Alchemy connector.

Not very confident in my DIY abilities. I wonder If I could connect both LED strips to their respective power to molex adapters, then connect them through one of the molex ends and use on of the two that are left to attach a molex-to-3pin adapter. I realize there are only 3 or 4 fan headers to a molex instead of just one, but I doubt it will have an impact whether I use all of them or just one. I'll go to the store tomorrow, and try to get one. If that works I'll take a picture so future users know what to do :)

Thank you @FizzyFantom

I did it :)

So basically the cable is as follows: powercable to 2-pin -> 2-pin to Molex -> Molex to 3-pin (DIY). The LED are controllable from 7.5V to 12V. Once I have both cables and a Y-Splitter I'll post some pictures for future readers.
