Update and restart

So I have the usual option of shutting down my PC but then i can restart it but it keeps saying update and restart and i clicked it to get all the new updates and i got them but now that i restarted it it keeps saying it. Do I have to restart again? Because when i shut down and then turn on the PC it doesnt download the updates. im using win 8.1 btw

Keep choosing update and restart until that option goes away. It should.

Many updates require that you restart your computer to apply them. Many other updates require that certain update have been already installed. Basically, you're just updating a few times until everything has what it needs to finish. Nothing to worry about.

I had like 150 updates when I installed my Windows from a disk. After the update I had another 150 updates. It is boring but nothing to worry about.

A lot of the security updates require you to install individually but others you can install and update in groups, just depends on what update it is.

The older the OS becomes the more you need to deal with with a new fresh install, it sucks but its what you need to do and with windows 8.1 1 update you need to keep your computer up to date or it could mean big problems later on.
