Need more info and specs here. First off, is an M.2 installed? Some boards will disable certain SATA ports with M.2 installed. It is possible the drive is DOA, but it's rare with Western Digital.

How did you buy the drive? Was it a mail order or in store? 

 

I'd return it as it sounds DOA.
