So couple of hours ago my computer stopped giving me display output as i was browsing LTT Forum with few other tabs open

i overclock my CPU like 5hours ago with ez tune wizard which claimed to give me 20% performance boost as i was having decent load temps 58-62c i thought it would be worth it as i do have the headroom

i also had my GPU well overclocked but that's not the culprit as tried taking it out

I have tried clearing CMOS by taking out the battery and shorting the specific 2 pins mentioned in manual and boot cycle quite a few times, i might have killed my CPU (who knows)?

Another strange behaviour was while the fan on GPU and CPU are working fine both the case fans stopped working when failure occured

I wonder if that oc pushed too much voltage on CPU resulting in failure

I'm worried if there is a short somewhere

What validation did you do on the overclock? Did you look at voltages after the overclock was applied while under a stress test? What are the rest of your system specs?

Clear the CMOS again with the same method. Make sure power is disconnected before clearing it, clear it, and let it sit for a few minutes before trying again.
