K5-Pro syringe????

Has anyone done this or know if it would help/hurt application? Putting the material in a syringe I think would help application but would this hurt it’s performance?

Sounds messy. I see that the K4 comes in a syringe, maybe they found that the K5 was too thick for normal syringes? Unless you are needing to apply it to a lot of components quickly, you might be better off just letting it sit in the little tub it comes in.

 

Disclosure, I've never used either K4 or K5 myself, just going off quick google images and amazon listings.

I have not seen syringed k5-pro what I’ve seen is more or less a lip balm applicator. 
 

it made it easy to put into the syringe (10 ml) I bought to try though it will be a while until I get my fans in before I’m applying and closing up my laptop (ge76 raider). 20g fit in this syringe.

Well application was nice and clean applying the k5 pro. 
 

The application method using the syringe I put a blob similar to a Hershey kiss on each chip casing. The base of the blob at ruffle 3/4 the size of the surface. After placing the heatsink on and tightening down it did protrude and shows that coverage is good.

 

temps are great after the new fans and thermal mx4 paired for the gpu/cpu.

 

I’m no expert but have built quite a few pcs. I will continue to use k5pro using this method over stick and play around with the goop.
