Need something to desolder bios chip cause my x58a ud3r is indeed screwed over by a crappy solder job on the bios chips (confirmed by just dabbing abit of solder paste on the main bios)

Solder paste only fixes it temporarily and MIT menu just freezes the thing up so figured its best to just fix the crappy solder job and resolder the bios chips

What do i buy to desolder these bios chip ics? Mainly looking at hot air tools but kinda confused as to what i should get since theres 850a and 858d(+) and all sorts of tiers (judging by rebranded hot air tools), mainly looking at "quick" 850a or any 858d+ model

If it's just a QFP surface-mount part, you shouldn't have to completely remove it unless you need to reflash it out of the system.

You just need some no-clean flux, a clean soldering iron tip, and fresh solder.

If you do have to remove it, hot air is the easiest method.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.
