Network router

2 or so years ago I was help out with a all in one router it's is the Netgear c7000v2 that I ended up going with I get great coverage with it so thank you so much for that.   At the moment my mother is looking to change out her 8 plus year old router so I was wondering if there is a new better router that would flex on the one I got or if that is still a good one to get.   Thank you for your time and help
