Can only afford to update one of two TitanV GPUs and was considering a A5000 (nVidia RTX series, formerly Quadro)

But it seems they require two different drivers!

Same version but definitely different drivers. Can I assume  these 2 cards cannot work together?

Use together as in? I'm not too sure if they will be used for different displays, but if you're talking about SLI then you can't.

Once, i did try an AMD Radeon HD 6450 and a 3080Ti in the same cpu and both were working but the amd one had to use the generic windows drivers, so i suppose it depends on what you mean when you say 'work together'.
