School me up if I am wrong but isn't boost 2 just a software profile, and since it is wouldn't you be able to apply it to the 600 series at least by updating the boost profile. This could mean that my WC 670 would see great performance increases.

I doubt that Nvidia would release it that easily. TXAA and adaptive Vsync is compatible with non-600 series cards, they won't release it though in order to maximize profitability.

The main reason they're not updating the 600 series with GPU Boost 2.0 is they would need to authenticate all the cards that are out there to see if all of them would even accept GPU Boost 2.0 without negatively affecting performance and that would not be feasible. Remember, it was designed for the Titan and they would not know if it'll be compatible without testing all of them and then authenticate.
