Windows start button not working (Windows 10)

While using my PC today, i got a blue screen, first time i've seen one on this PC, after it did a reset, i could no longer use the windows button or the search PC function beside the windows buttons. I've followed this video and none of the steps worked for me i didn't follow the last step which is  a full factory reset.

Also not sure if this is related but all my games in the battlenet app were no longer there, and i had to relocated them

Try checking your storage health using HDsentinel software.

Have you tried going into safe mode and see if the problem persist in safe mode ?

If you can run a command prompt (in normal mode or safe mode), try to do a system file check using sfc /scannow.

Try to do a SFC /scannow in administrator mode command prompt.

You may have to open the command prompt by directly opening it's .exe in system folder, if you can't open it using run command.

Do you think running a system reset will actaully help?

If by system reset you mean reinstall, yeah.

IMHO it's an OS problem, not hardware.

Found a post depicting the same error message, but idk if it'll help or is it a good long term solution, personally never had this problem.

i did find this video from two weeks ago, basically my exact problem looks like windows are rolling out a fix in a few days time althought i'm unsure how i'm even meant to update my PC as i can't interact with the start button or the windows thing beside the calendar.
