my first pc build

Go to solution Solved by Queen Chrysalis,

There are a lot of problems here.

  • The 5600 is faster than the 5700g in every game.
  • You can get an aftermarket cooler to ensure the 5600 hits max boost clocks and runs quieter.
  • The 6500xt needs PCIe 4.0 which a b450 motherboard cannot do.  The 6600 runs great on PCIe 3.0, and is just way faster anyway.
  • The PSU is way overkill for this parts list.  A basic 600w is more than enough.  The toughpower is fine, it's a lot better than the smart.
  • The case is kinda expensive, you can get one with good airflow and RGB fans included for less.
  • You don't have an SSD.
  • That RAM is overpriced for your budget.  RGB strips on RAM are not worth sacrificing your GPU.  Chrome plasted RAM like the RAM I included will look cool when it's next to an RGB cooler, it'll reflect the light.  And RAM is RAM, the brand doesn't really matter.

If you want a 6650xt, which is a bit faster than the 6600 and way faster than the 6500xt, your final price would be $700:

I would go with the second parts list.  Every game will be faster for $30 more, that GPU matters more than anything.

The case in the second system is actually bigger and cheaper and would give you better airflow.  The aesthetic is negligible, but you could use either case for either system.  It bigger one does not come with a rear exhaust fan, but since it;'s $10 less you could just buy one or see if you can find an extra fan from a friend or just laying around:

Budget: $700

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: watching LTT, playing modded minecraft and steam games like portal etc.

Other details:  pcpartpicker list here

i'd get the 5700X rather than the 5700G.  the G has integrated gfx, which you don't need when buying a GPU.
