Budget (including currency): 500€

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, 3D design (like CAD/CAM Fusion360)

Other details: I just need a new CPU, RAM and an Mainboard.

My current system is an i7-7700k, asus z170 deluxe and some generic 16gb RAM.

My graphics card is a zotac amp 1080ti which does her job pretty good considering the prices for a newer one.

Power supply cannsupport 650W

What would you recommend?

Thanks for your help in advance 🙂

In that budget I would recommend getting a cheap am4 board but with good enough vrams, a Ryzen cpu that fits the budget and either keeping your 16gb ram kit and buying another 16gb kit so you would have 32 or buy a two stick 32gb kit. Good luck fitting that in the budget but if you go used here and there it should work

I mean, is the system underperforming at something?  The 7700k is more than fast enough for the 1080ti, so a CPU upgrade would kind of just be a waste of money.  If you wanna game faster you'd need a faster GPU, and something that would be meaningfully faster than a 1080ti is gonna cost a lot.  I'd just wait till the system isn't fast enough for what your doing and then get a whole new one.

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.

Yeah I know what you mean, but I also want to upgrade my gpu in the future, just have to save a few more pennys until then 😅

Just do it all at once so it’s paired better and you actually know what you need.
