I recently decided to upgrade my mic to the Shure MV7X and am no looking for a good audio interface.

Currently on my radar is the GoXLR mini and the Focusrite Scarlet solo/2i2 (I've heard there are more differences then just inputs)

I am leaning to the GoXLR mini as having the extra volume control, easy mute buttons, and mixing software would be great for streaming.

But I have used the Scarlet in the past and found it worked great. Any input would be great as I want to be able to use my system for streaming/music production.

Thank you!

If you just need a single mic pre, the Focusrite Scarlett Solo is going to be your best quality-to-price ratio, especially with the MV7/MV7X. If you plan on running more than one mic, a Scarlett 2i2 is a solid budget option, with the Clarett 2Pre being a solid step-up. Beyond that you're going to want a better mic to justify better preamps.

Please take everything I say with a healthy dose of Googling.

Focusrite and presonus are the best bang for the buck (pun intended) even there entry level interfaces you'll have to pay much more to beat them, that being said they are mostly trouble free and reliable so only thing to keep in mind is the smallest ones don't have a regular power switch, to some that's annoying and two how many inputs outputs do you need and add one or two because you'll find a use for them later and better to have them and not need them right away.

If you had focusrite before and you liked it the goxlr won't be much an upgrade for sound, I'd say get a higher tier focusrite or if you want something same sound quality but little more useful software/easier to use get a mid high tier presonus
