Surprising i know <.<

so i reluctantly had to upgrade back to windows 8 a few days ago and it has been nothing but trouble so far.

first my e220 killer network drivers wouldnt install so i had to manually update the drivers in the device manager - not too bad

second thing the cursor kept showing the loading icon and it turned out to be some windows error report constantly popping up so i just stopped the service and fixed it - simple

third thing i would keep blue screening after a few hours and it seems that my overclocked settings that worked perfectly on windows 7 wouldnt work in windows 8. - kind of annoying

fourth... windows 8 would eat up 98% of my memory in the Non-paged pool, fixed it by stopping some services and disabling unused network cards - took me about an hour, not too serious

now ive got 2 additional problems that i cannot find the answer too just using google

Problem number 1. The computer will NEVER turn the monitors off

these are my power saving settings

8AkLy.png

i have used nircmd to turn my monitors off manually but they turn on immediately

this never happened on windows 7 and im using the same applications as i did in windows 7

i have my computer running 24/7 so when i go to sleep i want my monitors to turn off, but manually turning off 6 individual monitors gets annoying after a while.

My second problem is kind of small but it drives my OCD crazy

8AlhW.png

If my cursor moves across an item in my taskbar it will focus and keep being focused until i move my cursor over another item in the taskbar

the items will stay focused even if my cursor is not on top of it and it will always stay that way

if anything is unclear please tell me and ill try to elaborate

I'm not going to be much use, but your second issue happens from time to time in Windows 7. In fact, it's happening to me right now. Not sure what causes it. Usually a restart fixes it. Never had it happen in 8.1 however.

No idea about your first issue.

i do know that it fixes itself if you restart but i dont want to have to keep restarting my computer every few hours because of that.

You said you upgraded. Did you do an upgrade install, or a fresh install? If you did an upgrade, perhaps try a fresh install. Running in an admin cmd prompt "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" MAY fix some issues, but it really depends.
