Hello. I built a pc like 3 days ago. The parts are the Cooler Master NR200P MAX (case bundle with power supply and AIO), Zotac 4070ti, and i713th gen, and Asus ROG Strix B660-I motherboard. Im on Windows 11. When Im watching youtube videos, CPU temps are around 25-35 degrees Celcuis. When downloading steam for example, temps go up to 101C. Also when scanning for viruses using windows bit defender, temps go to 101C. Using hardware monitor to see temps.

I put a pea sized drop of thermal paste, all connections are good, the fans are spinning, and I took the "foil" off. The aio pump ramps up when it does get hot. Could it be a software issue?

Thermal throttling isn't a software issue unless the fans are not ramping correctly.

What kind of clock speeds are you getting while throttling?

Main: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, 16 GB 4400 MHz DDR4 Linux - Fedora

Is the aio pump hooked up to an aio header not cpu fan header?

The P cores go to 5.1 and E cores to 4.3. Was using the Intel Stress test software.

Can you use hwinfo for monitoring your temps and fans.

In hwinfo you should see all fan speeds (pump and radiator fans).

When double clicking on a sensor value you also get a graph for the sensor.

Check if they ramp up all together when the cpu temps rise.

This is a screenshot from my system while a CPU performance test and currently the AIO is to small to handle the heat of the CPU. I already have ordered a 240 AIO to replace my small 120 AIO. The thermal limit on my AMD CPU is 90°C.

The graphs on the left show the pump und fan ramp up when the CPU gets hot.

My pump runs 470 RPM in idle and 1860 RPM at load. Fans at load 1980 RPM.
