ram compatibilit

Go to solution Solved by AlphaQ214,

Generally mixing RAM isnt the best for performance. However, it will still work in most cases. Your faster RAM will just run at the slower settings. If I remember Linus did a video where they did just mix and match a bunch a RAM and everything still worked.

Hi i am planning to upgrade my build from 16gb to 32gb but the ram i have (VENGEANCE® LED 16GB 2 x 8GB)  is not longer available and i was wondering if i can use 2 different ram sticks with the same speed (3.000MT/s) same voltage (1,35V) but a CAS Latency of 16 instead of 15 or is it better to just buy a whole new kit.
