When I play Minecraft bedrock and java my gpu always stays under 30% usage and plays at about 50-75fps. When I enable ray tracing, the usage maxes out and the fps takes a surprising jump to around 150 fps, which makes it annoying that without ray tracing, I have worse performance. This is not an issue in other games.

Specs are

: RTX 3080

: Ryzen 5 7600x

: 32gb DDR5 5200mhz

I have been messing with this issue for months now so any help would be appreciated.

since ryzen 7000 series is new it could be that minecraft is not that optimized so you may need to wait and see what will happen. The only thing I can think of is that it may be a drivers issue with ryzen.

Hmm. Not what I wanted to hear, but it sounds like that's what it is. Thanks!

I can do some more research and I hope to comeback with a solution there have been similar issues like urs across other forums so I am almost certain that its not ur problem its the dev problem. In the meantime try enabling DLSS and see if that helps the resolutions is almost the same tbh

It is the same if DLSS is enabled or disabled.
