Windows Theme Problem

My PC seems to be having a problem with the theme, I don't know whether this is a problem with Aero or not, it constantly switches back to the windows classic theme (I presume this is what it is called). If i check for a windows update and restart after installing one it goes back to the default windows 7 theme which is what i want. When first turning the PC on when the clssic theme appears a message comes up along the lines of windows could not to do something with windows event log or something like that and it says the only reason i was capable of logging in was that i am an administrator.

 

Does anyone know how to fix this problem so i can avoid the restart?
