Hello, I have our chased the ryzen 7 5700x, and I am very interested in the B550-A Gaming white... would my cpu work right out of the box with that motherboard or would I need to update the bios, and if I do how do I do that

Unless the board that you purchase has been sitting on a shelf for a very long time, then you should be fine. I purchased a 5700x and a B550 board about 5 months ago and it worked right out of the box.

If the motherboard is the Asus ROG STRIX B550-A, it has BIOS Flashback. The BIOS can be updated without a working CPU.
