My old motherboard died and is being replaced with one with a different chipset (H110 to B250). It goes into boot limbo (no video output or USB power) when the boot drive is plugged in, but it gets to post when I unplug the boot drive and asks for one. Upon plugging in my boot drive, it starts normally and reaches the login screen.

My question is this, is it possible to reinstall Windows 10 in this state (SSD plugged in after post) and keep my files/programs?
